It's All in the Lips

It appears that Public Displays of Affection are the theme of the week here on iVillage. Announcing... Makeout NYC, which is taking place tonight at 7pm in Central Park's Sheep Meadow:

Bring a friend, find many. Make-out or hang out. The makeout party is free, and for no particular cause, other than to promote shameless kissing in public. (This is a kissing-only event, so all you exhibitionists contain yourselves, please!)

In totally unrelated news, my supercool coworker Rhoda -- a mother of two who will be married to her adorable husband Adam six years this September -- was wearing a very snazzy outfit to work the other day. When we asked her where she was going, she said, "On a date with my husband!" How great is that??

Do you go on dates with your husband? Do you dress up in snazzy outfits? If you have trouble making date nights work on account of the kiddies, check out these tips -- or share your own below...

Date nights are a fabulous thing that all couples--especially parents--should indulge in. They're tricky but ultimately so very worth it. My husband and I like to go do things we used to do in our former, non-parental, lives and laugh about "old times". :)

You very cleverly avoided whether you were going to Makeout NYC or not...

:D MakeoutNYC, huh? where i come from, one can get fined for public display of affections! i'm rather caught in the middle when it comes to that. i won't want to disrespect my elders, but sometimes it's just so romantic to spontaneously kiss my significant other in public
