Win a Date with the Brawny Man

First, a fun story... You know how I love when you guys comment here on Sex on My Desk (love it to the point of cartwheels down the iVillage halls)? Well, a few weeks ago I was on the ChickChat Radio Show. I was talking about technology and relationships, and I referred to a few of the 80+ comments on that post because I thought they were so smart. Well, "Ginny," one of those commenters, was listening! So she sent me an email to thank me for the shout out. It turns out that "Ginny" is in PR, and in her excitement, she invited me and Marissa to an NYC restaurant opening she was working on. Marissa and I had such a great time, and now "Ginny" is our BFF.

This week "Ginny" is involved with another supercool project, where women can bid for a date with the Brawny man. And according to the press release, all proceeds from the auction will benefit Dress For Success, an organization that provides career advice and attire for disadvantaged women:

The highest bidder will win a chance to give her man a taste of Brawny Academy, where men are sent to learn about manners, how to help around the house and how to communicate -- right in her living room. Some interesting facts from women:
  • 1 out of 4 of their men ALWAYS leave the toilet seat up
  • 46% would like to see their man improve cleaning around the house skills
  • Over 25% of women say their men NEVER do the dishes

I hope you make lots of money for the charity, "Ginny!"

Dear "Special Kay,"
It was actually an excuse to promote a charity. Thanks, though! You sure are special.

Oh, you mean a date for your husband and the Brawny man. Darn... I'm unattached and would really LIKE date with Mr. Brawny.

Now, if they only had a date with the Pillsbury Dough Boy ... I'd be all over that. Uh ... well, you know what I mean.
