Like an Online Recycle Party

Have you ever heard of recycle parties? Everyone brings a date who they think would be perfect... for someone else. Well, now there's somewhat of an online version: WhatDoYouKnowAboutRomeo.com. While, yes you can definitely trash guys there -- His profile said he was 5'11", but he was 5'1"! -- you can also rave about them:

“It’s not just about bashing men you’ve had bad dates with,” says co-founder Elaine Schweppe, who came up with the idea for the site after a divorce led her back into the online dating scene. “Women also end up sharing good experiences that for one reason or another, just didn’t work it.” Jennifer Piacenti, Elaine’s happily married close friend who convinced her to get back into the dating scene, co-founded the site with her. According to Jennifer, “It’s like that old saying goes: One woman’s frog may be another’s prince.”

not to call myself a frog, but the guy I dated before DH was/is a good friend of DH. When things didn't work out with that guy, I kept in touch with some of his friends and wound up meeting my hubby!

Man, I'm recycled!

Hmm, a new twist on the old idea of match-making... nothing wrong with that, really. I've met guys who I didn't think were right for me but were perfect for someone else I knew, so I'd dish the dirt on the guy to the girl, ask for permission to share her info, then give the guy her name, number, and any other details he should know, and step back to see if sparks flew in a good or bad way, lol. It can be hard to meet the right people in life, so why not get a little help from friends and others you know?

This site is hilarious. Just think...if everyone logged in and wrote about 1 guy they met online...we would have quite a database!!
