I just got back to NYC from Orlando, where I was a guest on iVillage Live. It will air on July 10th at noon EST -- or you can watch it that day on the iVillage Live website.

I stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort, a Hawaii-inspired hotel where the staff greets everyone with "Aloha!"

"Aloha! Welcome to the Royal Pacific Resort!"
"Aloha! Would you like to check in?"
"Aloha! Would you like to sit at the sushi bar or at a table?"

But my favorite "Aloha!" was when I first arrived, and the teenaged bellperson noticed my iVillage fleece jacket:

"Aloha! OMG, do you work at iVillage?? Guy, one of the hosts of iVillage Live, is at one of our restaurants tonight with some friends! That's his car right there! We got to detail Guy's car!!"

Shooting the following morning could not have been more fun; this is a seriously high-energy group, even before 8am. Naamua greeted me warmly right away and we discussed my segment. Then Molly was having her makeup done while I had my hair done, and Sissy was having her makeup done while I had my makeup done so we had the chance to chat, too. All three were incredibly sweet, funny and welcoming (not to mention absolutely gorgeous in person); I was totally blown away.

And then there were the behind-the-scenes folks -- the producers and sound people and stage directors -- same thing! I swear, whoever hired this team was sure to write "Friendly People Only" on the job posting in bold print. If I'm invited down to be a guest again, my new makeup artist friend and I have plans to sing karaoke... And several people wouldn't let me leave without hugs!

Plus, I had an hour between the interview and being picked up for the airport... so I snuck out to ride The Hulk.

All in a day's work!
