Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater?
I have a friend with a pretty common habit: Whenever she's in a great relationship, she gets scared and starts looking for someone else to date instead. She says it's just a coincidence that, whoops! Everything was perfect until she met someone new and great. But if everything really was perfect, I think she'd meet someone great and just think Which one of my friends can I set him up with?
On the other hand, she also has a great sense of humor about relationships. Plus, she's truly maxing out her single years by dating all she can and not taking anything too seriously. So in that sense I admire her. (I was always such a "good girl.") But I digress...
Last week it happened again.
She was poking around on a social networking site when she came across a guy with similar interests, who also lives in Chicago (where she lives). She and this guy started sending messages back and forth and discovered that they seem to have a connection. The only problem? She has a boyfriend!
But when the new guy asked her to go with him to a live taping of a new daytime talk show, she accepted. She made up a story to tell her boyfriend, put on her cutest first-date duds and headed out.
But what comes around went around. Because she and her new "friend" were seated in the very front row of this live taping, which will air on national TV. And, just her luck, the warm-up act even said, "This is a live taping. So if anyone here is sitting next to someone you, ahem, should not be sitting next to, you may want to move... or leave."
She took her chances.
Do you think my friend will ever come around? Take this poll, then explain below.
