I'm curious...For those of you who said it was demeaning...How is it demeaning?

I think it's empowering - cougars of the non-human variety are beautiful and cunning, and they know what they want and how to get it quickly, which is far better than "old bat who must be rich as sin to snag a hot young stud like that". ;)

I dislike being defined by my age and the age difference between myself and my significant other. What I want is a healthy relationship, being younger isn't a prerequisite for me and if it were that would make me shallow. Because he is I receive a title that implies that shallow attitude.

I asked my boy friend what he thought of the term and what he thought it meant... he said "cougars" are a "turn on!" No negative connotation at all!
