Are Sex Toys Just for Women?
The Week magazine, which my colleague Letisha refers to as "only the best magazine in the world," recently wrote:
"The Swedish agency that monitors gender equality has begun an investigation of the state-run pharmacy, Apoteket, for allegedly selling 'sex toys' suitable only for women. ...One complaint stated that Apoteket had bought into the 'misguided view on sexuality where a woman with a dildo is seen as liberated, strong and independent, whereas a man with a blow-up plastic vagina is viewed as disgusting and perverted.'"So what do you think? As the resident purchaser of sex toys in my household, I can say that sex toys are definitely not just for women. The very question buys into the misguided notion that a vibrator is somehow a replacement for a man. In addition to their use for solo play, toys are also something that a couple can enjoy using together, for their mutual pleasure.

I think those views on sex toys are mainly by people who don't enjoy using them or haven't even tried. My DH has found some great uses for my vibrators, although I prefer when he uses them on me, LOL.

apoteket gave a statement about it. the reason they didn't have any sex toys for men is that none were found that met their safety standards. (and added: but it's interesting that sex toys for women apparently are provoking)
My husband and i have found some great uses on him for my little friends.
I don't think it should make a difference between male and female sex toys. They are both natural and should not be looked at differently. They accomplish the same thing!
