What Seems to Be the Problem, Officer?

A former part-time Pennsylvania police officer (who's now, perhaps not coincidentally, unemployed) will serve 30 days in jail for pulling a woman over just to give her his number, according to Yahoo! News:

"Steven Klinger, 32, was charged with official oppression, or acting outside his authority as an officer. Police said he used red and blue lights mounted on the dashboard of his pickup truck to pull over a woman in Berwick in eastern Pennsylvania... The woman became suspicious when he began asking her if she was married or had a boyfriend, police said."

Yes, I agree. He was wrong. But hypothetically, if she'd actually been interested in him... and they'd dated and gotten married... don't you think it would have made for a very romantic "how we met" story?

I had a police officer pull me over to ask me for my number, too, and because he was F.I.N.E. fine, I wasn't offended in the least, lol. ;)
