I was attending the event with Maggie, our food editor. It was about food after all. But Maggie had to cancel at the last minute. I was going by myself. What would I write on Sex on My Desk about an Omni Hotels culinary event around their new French Toast promotion?

And then the publicist gave me my seating card: Table #4. I sat down and introduced myself... to "K," the Cosmopolitan Bedroom blogger on my left... and "Alice," the Redbook Hot & Bothered blogger on my right.

This I can handle!

As we sipped French Champagne, we swapped stories about being sent stripper poles. As we indulged in duck confit, we discussed how much truth there actually is to their supposedly fictional blogs. And "K" and I, despite differing opinions, offered our best dating advice to "Alice": Are creative women best matched with creative men? Should you talk to an attractive guy in the check-out line at the supermarket—or wait to see if he'll talk to you?  In May-December romances, how wide of an age gap is too wide?
