Not OK Computer
It's not that surprising given that we spend so much more (awake) time at work than at home—but that doesn't make it any less disheartening to hear! I just received this press release:
"Move over Brad Pitt. Out of the way, McConaughey. American women are in love…with their computers. According to a survey conducted by Harris Interactive for Wellgate for Women, ninety-six percent of women who work in an office claim to like or love their computer, with the average woman spending nearly triple the amount of time daily with her computer than she spends with her significant other (9.3 hours compared to 3.6 hours)."Then in true out-of-left-field publicist fashion*...
"...About one in five female office workers said they experience wrist pain while typing or using a mouse. Luckily, Wellgate for Women, the developers of stylish orthopedic supports made specifically for women, created the Slimfit Wrist Support so women can relieve pain associated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome."
(You knew something like that was coming, right?)
*Naturally when I make stereotypical comments like "in true publicist fashion," I don't mean you, Ginny and Jennifer.

haha - forgiven! As "reputation managers" you think we'd do a better job protecting our own profession.
I do spend more waking time with my computer than I do with my spouse, but, spending time on the computer is what pays the bills! LOL
