Bill and Hillary Clinton: Powerhouses, One at a Time
It's all but official that Hillary Clinton will relinquish her Senate role to accept the nomination for secretary of state from President-elect Barack Obama.
When Bill Clinton was president, Hillary took a backseat (at least, as much of a backseat as she ever could or would given her personality) to support her husband as the powerhouse in their twosome. Throughout her own run for president, Bill Clinton took a backseat (at least, as much of a backseat as he ever could or would given his personality) to support his wife as the powerhouse in their twosome. I'd imagine that will continue if/when she becomes secretary of state.
So I thought I'd ask: Is that how you and your husband handle professional success--do you take turns? Or maybe income trumps goals? Talk back below...
